How the app works

When a customer places an order on your BigCommerce store, Signifyd immediately syncs the order details and reviews the order for fraud.

We provide a detailed analysis for each order which can be viewed by visiting our console. Learn more about our case queue and console.

How auto-fulfillment works

BigCommerce merchants can automate their order fulfillment based on Signifyd’s guarantee decision. This allows merchants to effectively speed up their order fulfillment process and ship good orders faster.

When an order is approved for guarantee, Signifyd can update the order status to Awaiting Shipment.

When an order is declined for guarantee, Signifyd can update the order status to Declined or Manual Verification Required.

 

Within the order notes, you can view a history of all the updates Signifyd has made to an order. We’ll show how Signifyd updates orders, using both an example of an approved order and a declined order.

Approved Orders

When Signifyd approves an order for guarantee, we can update the order status in BigCommerce to Awaiting Shipment.

In the above scenario, orders were submitted and approved for guarantee. Once Signifyd approved the orders, BigCommerce was triggered to:

  1. Update the order status to Awaiting Shipment,
  2. Update the staff notes in each order with “Signifyd: Guarantee Approved,” and,
  3. Send an order status update email to the customer.*

*You can change content of the default BigCommerce order status email that is sent to the customer in the Marketing>Home Page Carousel>Emails tab of BigCommerce.

Declined Orders

When Signifyd declines an order for guarantee, we can update the order status in BigCommerce to Declined or Manual Verification Required.

In the above scenario, the order was submitted and declined for guarantee. Once Signifyd declined the order, BigCommerce was triggered to:

  1. Update the order status to Declined,
  2. Update the staff notes in each order with “Signifyd: Guarantee Declined,” and,
  3. Send an order status update email to the customer.

At this time, the merchant can choose to re-review the order, or decline the order outright and refund the customer.

Enabling Auto-fulfillment

Setting up auto-fulfillment is a simple one-step process that involves updating your settings in Signifyd.

Updating your settings in Signifyd

Login to your Signifyd console and navigate to Settings. Select Integrations from the side navigation menu.

You should see the menu below.

Toggle on Update Order Status on Approved Guarantees if you’d like Signifyd to update the order status to Awaiting Shipment upon approval for Guarantee.

Toggle on Update Order Status on Declined Guarantees if you’d like Signifyd to update the order status to Manual Verification Required upon decline for Guarantee. (Note: if you’d like Signifyd to update the order status to Declined upon decline for Guarantee, please reach out to our support team to request this feature.)
